Both were using one of our Shakespeare Sapphire rods one with a Reel-em-in HA3000 reel and the other Shakesphere Cirrus 3040 reel the lures were Hot lips (yellow /green)

line class 4 & 4.5 kg 

Note on the rods........ by Frank Trott

 The slightest hit resulted in a hook-up on these rods compared to conventional rods.
